Dhaka Art campaign held ‘Dhaka art camp’, a five-day workshop ended at Fordnagar in Savar on Monday. Renowned economist A M A Muhit was present as chief guest on the concluding day of the event comprising sketching, discussions, and other highlights. Forty-six eminent artists from Bangladesh and India participated at the event organized by Bengal Foundation. Asked about the aim of the camp, the convenor Rafiqun Nabi said that it could be said that the attempt is a success. Artists from both countries exchange their views and styles of their art as well. The organizers gave the artists a total of 130 canvases for sketching. Every artist sketched at least three different types of paintings during the five-day workshop. These works will be preserved and displayed at the Bengal Museum, said the organizer. Besides the sketching, Bengal Foundation invited Tuntun baul to render songs on Lalon Sai and Moksed Ali Sai. |
